Nil Stolobny's chapel - the first church building was built in Ostashkov after 1917 year.
The chapel was built in memory of Ostashkov residents who died for their country. Of the ten thousand people of this city who fought in the Great Patriotic War, more than six thousand were killed in the fighting.
2nd May, 2002 at the future site of a chapel in the park district was opened and consecrated the memorial slab.
Construction of the chapel was completed for the 60th anniversary of Great Victory, the chapel was consecrated at 9th May, 2005 in honor of Nile Stolobny.
